This question may be related to a resolved thread.

I have created pages in my weblog and verified they are coming out in the correct template, but I’m still not seeing them in the Pages tab.

I’ve just updated to 1.6.9. Has this defect not been fixed?

Hi, globalfit. You’re asking a 1.6.9 question in the 2.02 section. Moving to the right forum.

    Thanks.

Some further info: it seems that whenever I save a page, it wipes out references to others? I can see this by checking the .htaccess file after each save (I’m using LG .htaccess generator). When I save, the only page in the pages array is the one I just saved; all others have been reverted back to regular weblog entries, or so it would appear.

It has to do with LG .htaccess generator.

    Does that help?

Thanks, that’s solved the page not found problem but I’m still not seeing any pages listed in the Pages module?

I’ve also noticed that since upgrading, the show_pages setting in exp:weblog:entries is no longer having any effect.

I have 2 sites running: dev has 1.6.9 and with show_pages=“no” the page entries are still listed (that is to say, the pages have a URI set in the pages tab of the edit page, nothing is listed at all under the Pages modules, as per my original post); staging has 1.6.8 and is behaving as expected.

Is there a way to tell if my upgrade failed for some reason?

    globalfit,

Can you confirm that you followed the Version Update instructions? Also, you have LG .htaccess generator disabled at this point, correct?

    Hi

Yes, I can confirm both of those.

Hmm.. I just created a single Page in 1.6.8 and then updated to 1.6.9. That single page still works the way it should. However, I have no .htaccess page at all.

But you’re right, the show_pages setting appears to not work at all. I even tried show_pages=“only”. Still looking around using my sites..

Seeing this same thing, 1.6.9 with and without LG Htaccess.  Never had a problem like this with pages before.  I have an about-us and a contact-us page, when I save about-us, contact-us still exists in the database under exp_weblog_titles and exp_weblog_data and I even still see a ref to i in the serialized array in exp_sites, but the page throws a 404. Then when I open and cave contact-us in the CP, the same thing happens to about-us.  No data lost.

Just removed Pages, deleted the entries from the Pages weblog, and removed LG then reinstalled Pages and recreated the 2 entries, and now the 2 pages work after I have recreated them.  I added the include method index.php removal and everything is working on the front and back ends.  This seems to be an issue with LG Htaccess and 1.6.9.

I agree, this seems to be an issue with LG Htaccess. Where are you with this, globalfit?

Sorry for dropping off this one - the project has been on hold.

I’ve followed the steps above and I still have the same issue. I now have all LG files removed completely and have deleted my .htaccess file. I then uninstalled Pages, deleted all entries that had been created, reinstalled Pages and I’m still seeing the same thing: pages aren’t listed in the Pages module tab.

    Any other ideas?

Did you redo the entries after reinstalling the Pages module?
