I’m about to pass on a site to a client who will be producing content within EE that may take time to produce, and may involve time away from the CP. Currently if the session has timed out, upon clicking save one is taken to the CP login, and all content is lost without warning. How does one extend the session time period so one has more time to work (say an hour) without fear of EE logging out and losing content?

Narzuala, set the value of User Session Type to Cookies Only.
Admin › System Preferences › Security and Session Preferences
Will that work for your client?

I assume this will remove the session timeout entirely? That should work. Thanks!
