Is it possible to override members localisation settings with global setting? Or do I have to go into each and every user account and set their settings to default setting?

Hi serafico,
Under My Account > Membership Preferences:
In addition, you may specify to use a member’s localization settings as the default values for the site. In this way, you can specify default localization settings that are different than the actual server settings.
Is that what you’re aiming for?

Hi Brandon,
no, I want something different. I’ve set the default localization server settings to UTC +1 and Daylight Time, and the same settings on my admin account. I’ve set my admin account settings as the default values for the site. And now two problems:
1. is it possible to override members settings with these admin settings?
2. system is not honoring these default settings - new registered members have UTC (not: UTC +1) as default. Why?

Yes, you can manually do a MySQL query to update these fields. The field name you’re looking for is called timezone and can be found in the exp_members table.
2. system is not honoring these default settings - new registered members have UTC (not: UTC +1) as default. Why?
I can replicate the problem you’re seeing.. asking the dev team for clarification. Thanks in advance for your patience.
