Three practical questions :
1 / TEMPLATES : does EE2 manage the EE1.x templates ? are-there templates specially done for EE2 ?
2 / Is the french language pack (1.6.6) compatible with EE2 ?
3 / Is the discussion forum module (2.1) compatible withe EE2 ?

1) The templates are pretty much the same, yes. We use “channel” instead of “weblog” now, and the assigned variables have changed slightly, but most of it is the same. See this overview.
2) There is a 2.0.1 pack kindly provided by Studio Meta.
3) There is a new one available for EE 2.0.

Hi,
I downloaded the 2.0.1 pack you linked to, and copied it to /system/expressionengine/language, but when I try to change the language in Admin > General Configuration to French under Default Language and Default XML Language, the control panel remains as English, instead of changing to French. Is there something else I missed?
I just noticed that it worked, but only on the log-in page for the control panel. When I log in, everything is in English again.

Go to http://example.com/system/index.php?S=0&D=cp&C=myaccount and choose the correct language.
