Hello brethren, i need some help. I’m building a site with CI that will sell media stuff online. I decided to host d data -music and video files on another server ( i’m not sure server is the right term but i mean a cdn with web add different from d main site. I’ll call it storage server).
Now when a member buys some files, a new folder will be created on my storage server and the items he wants will be copied to the new folder and renamed. i’ll need to rename the files cos i’ll use random filenames to store d original files. The new folder created for the user will be deleted after 3days to avoid d user sharing d download links we give him.

    So this is my problem.
    1. How do i make a new folder on the storage server, copy some files into it and change the filenames? I was able to do this with d files in d same server with the script. It didnt work when i changed the file paths to url (http://stuff.com)
    2. In a case where d file is large, say 1gb, i think speed wont be a problem since i’m copying from/to folder within the same directory in the storage server. Am i wrong on this?
    3. I’ll be streaming these items on the site. Will streaming it from another web address(the storage server) pose any difficulties?

    Thanks for your anticipated responses!
