Is there a way to limit the maximum amount of data users can upload (let’s say a member can upload 10MB and if s/he exceeds that limit s/he will be prevented from uploading)?

Looking at the database tables, it seems that EE (as of version 1.6.8) doesn’t store the “author” of an uploaded file, but hopefully I’m wrong.

You can set this in the Upload preferences so Admin - Weblog Administration - File Upload Preferences and set the maximum file size (and file type if required).

    Thanks Gareth,

this is not what I want to achieve though. I’d like to set a limit per user, not per file. In other words, I’d want the total size of all files a certain user uploads not to exceed the limit I set..
