Hi guys, just released another client CI project.

    http://www.destinohotelero.com/

This is a directory about hotels and tourism in the dominican republic.

I accept suggestions for new implementations as I still want to extend it a lot more.

New things I tried and accomplished in this project:

    - Removing index.php from URL
    - Used routes to short the urls and allow fancy urls
    - The project is fully managed by the client through my own CI CMS
    - Integrated notifications to twitter

Things I will do in a few weeks after there is more content and time:

    - Search (semantic search)

Things I want to do but still don’t know how to do it:

    - Integrate Facebook connect on CI
    - Integrate Mailchimp list management from the Admin CP
    - Allow for a image gallery inside Facebox script

    So, what do you think?

    love the design. nice work.

if you don’t already know about, take a look at this facebook connect lib:
    http://www.haughin.com/code/facebook/

i’m actually about to embark on a project that requires mailchimp / campaign monitor integration (still haven’t decided which to use). both of them have very nice apis so it should be fairly straight forward. let us know how you get on.

    good luck!

I’ve been trying with that library, but haven’t worked so far. Even in a clean installation of CI, the library doesn’t work for me.

Great work!  How long did it take to build this one?  How long have you been working with CI? —Sean Loving

Nice site also seems you managed to integrate some facebook into it 😊 Did you used taxonomy for hotel features such as wifi spa etc.

Well, its still an ongoing project. There are still a lot of features i want to implement. But this is done on the go with the visitors behavior.

I managed to integrate some, but still not really a connect site.

I didn’t used taxonomy, but the idea behind those hotel features is something that will be launched anytime this week…hint: semantic. 😛
