Does each bug report get processed at some point? I’m just wondering, because the list of “new” bugs goes on for weeks.

Yes, EllisLab does read all feature requests, bug reports, etc. They actually mentioned that during the EECI2009 😛

Right now, the focus is obviously on ExpressionEngine 2. EllisLab does read all of the Bug Reports and act on them though.
In regards to all of the new items in the Bug Tracker, I must admit I have been lax on running through there and categorizing the bugs appropriately. I’ve been insanely busy as of late but hope to once again get on the ball here soon.
