    Hello,

I need some help on how to the get regional and language options from the control panel(Windows XP).

Please help me on how to solve this issue using PHP or Javascript. I know it can work in the other language especuially in JAVA and C#. I tried to search if there is function in the PHP and I only see the $_SERVER[“HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE”] but this is for a browser language only.

I really need to get the local language of the computer based on the settings from the control panel

    Thanks in advance….

I think because by definition PHP and Javascript run in a browser environment they are “sandboxed” to prevent access to local pc files & settings.

You cannot access XP via webbrowser. This is true for any language. The only way java ,C# and asp can gain access to your computer is through activeX or some plugin loaded by the browser.
