    It is beyond me how in 2009 it can still be so hard to find information.

    Does anyone have experience embedding videos using the Adobe FLV Playback component?

    I’m trying to embed multiple FLV videos using a single player swf file but am not having any luck passing the proper variables or finding any reasonable documentation.

    Secondly, the skins for this player are separate swf files. So, while you can tell the <object> tag to look in a subfolder for the player file, it continues to look for the skin under root.

    Any help with this seemingly simple task would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    You can find all this information at this web site and you can download a FREE Player!

    FREE Flash Player with Playlist

    For embedding same site this Link:

    <embed
      src="player.swf"
      width="300"
      height="300"
      allowscriptaccess="always"
      allowfullscreen="true"
    />

    I am in the process of building a site and use FlowPlayer. The site has numerous demos to try, check it out.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Sorry I should have mentioned that I’ve seen each of those players but both require commercial licenses.

    I’m sure it’s possible to achieve this with the Adobe player but I’m having a hell of a time figuring it out.

    Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction; or to a free alternative.

    Take care

    Use this version freely.

    This is Open Source and available under the GPL license and can be used in commercial projects

    What is the problem?

    Oh right.. my issue was the branding. I probably should have tried it first.

    How customizable are the controls in the free version? I’ll give it a whirl tonight.

    Thanks John
