Hello!
I’ve read a few forum post and docs but am still not sure how this is handled. So here is my question:
If I setup three websites using the MSM. How many licenses would I need?
Only 1x EE and 1x MSM license?
Or 3x EE and 1x MSM license?

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, panic.
You’d purchase a license of EE, and one MSM license. Then you’d be able to have a total of three sites. Keep in mind you need to be the owner of all three sites, and the sites would need to be on the same server.
