    Hi - is there an easy way/hack to add an extra field to the login form (the one produced by using {exp:member:login_form }

    The client (for reasons I cannot begin to explain) wants to capture the a bit of text on login.

    At the moment I use return the login form to a page that uses a freeform and a javascript submit to capture login data and then send the user to the site proper. In this way the client has a downloadable list of every login. I extract the username, id etc from the $SESS variable and put it into the freeform fields.

    Any ideas?

    Not easily. How is what you’re doing now not working?

    capturing the login username and ID is working fine - the client wants to capture another field of info that is not part of the standard login form and will change on every login.

    This has turned into more of a howto question.. moving over there so other members of the community can contribute.
