    My client recently tried logging in, and encountered the non-css login page, and of course, even with the right credentials, cannot log in. No changes to the site have been made since the 1.6.8 upgrade, and after that upgrade logging into the admin cp was fine and entries were made with no issues.

    I searched back over the forums, and so far, none of the remedies have worked - is is possible the hosting company (Dreamhost) has changed something on their side? I did read where if OPEN_BASEDIR is turned on, this might cause a problem?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Whether they made any changes only they would know, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to ask them about it. Did you do anything to the site at all? Moved it around, edited that database, anything like that? As to the non-css issue, see if this entry helps.

    Yes, I forgot to mention I already did the cp_themes fix, and the CSS shows back up, but still denies entry for the admin acct.

    I’ve added the usual things in the config.php file:

    $conf['cookie_domain'] = "";
    $conf['cookie_prefix'] = "";
    $conf['admin_session_type'] = "s";

    So you are able to log in, but your client isn’t?  Are they behind a firewall of some kind in an office?

    Update: OK, I contacted my client’s hosting company, and they did indeed change something - they moved the account and all the domains from one machine to another, and the older machine was running PHP 5.2.6, and the newer one is using 5.2.9 - they’re also claiming that the site I did is configured for PHP4 (how would they know that?). OPEN_BASEDIR is not enabled.

    Any ideas?

    Greg: No; my client nor I can log in with the usual credentials. Sorry for any confusion.

    Joyrex,

    but still denies entry for the admin acct.

    Do you get an error message or does the page refresh?

    Do you know if the server path has changed since the move? Double check with host.

    Have you cleared all your cookies and cache from the actual browser itself?

    John,

    OK, clearing cache and cookies seems to have solved it - thanks!

    Glad it was as simple as that. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
