    Howdy,

I’m sure that this has been posted quite a few times, but I was too lazy to search and wanted to open a dialog about EE’s future.

First, let me say that I LOVE EE! It’s wonderful and I use it on all my projects. I am hoping that EE incorporates a more robust eCommerce solution on the future. I am an artist that uses the web to promote and sell my work. up until this point, I’ve had to basically design two different websites for my website (basic & shop), using two different engines. I like the design of my site to be fluid so making sure that everything flows seamlessly in both design and functionality is important. I am just getting tired to having the work of designing for two engines.

Has anyone successfully incorporated EE with a robust eCommerce solution?

Mark Bowen has done an add-on for the SCM which I think offers more.

HCC Development have created a bridge between EE and FoxyCart which I understand to be good.

It depends what you’re looking for in the ecommerce side of things.

Both seem like options.. just not a big fan of a monthly fee for a shopping cart. Seems like over-kill when you can just buy a module (one day) that will work on your site.

I agree with you on the FoxyCart idea. I also prefer something all being within EE.

Mark Bowen’s add-on might be of use to you - http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/109491/
