I’m having a problem with the url_title_path stripping out “.” ascii(46). My weblog entry URL title is showing citroen-c1-1.0i-vibe-3dr but the following code

    <a href="http://{url_title_path={my_template_group}/vehicle}%22class=%22moredetails" title="{title}" class="moredetails">For more details</a>

    outputs
http://www.planyourcar.com/car-leasing-contract-hire/vehicle/citroen-c1-hatchback-10i-vibe-3dr/. Notice the missing dot. This obviously causes the “vehicle” page not to display as it cannot find the entry.

The strange thing about this is the same code works on one of the other sites and the dot is in the url. See http://www.flexx-plan.com/short-term-leasing/offers/skoda-fabia-3-1.6-16v-tiptronic/

I’ve tried url_title_path and url_title but both output without periods.

Anyone got an idea on why this might be?

    EE 1.6.6 with MSM.

Can you try to upgrade to the latest version and build? I know url_title creation was only comparatively recently.

Stuart can you confirm this please.

Your weblog entry URL title has citroen-c1-1.0i-vibe-3dr

Yet your url has an output of citroen-c1-hatchback-10i-vibe-3dr

So there is more than a period missing there no?

Can you try clearing your cache manually through FTP

Goto system/cache and delete everything except index.html

    John,

Your quite right I never noticed that was to bust concentrating on the missing period! That data is a related entry title. I’ll go and check my template as I think I can see what’s happened.

I’ll let you know how I get on.

    John,

Thanks for pointing that out. You hit the nail on the head. I’d put the url_title inside {related_entries} which is why it didn’t work.

    All fixed now.
