    Questions regarding the wiki module:

    - Can the appearance of the wiki be altered so that its consistent the other parts of the website. This would assume being able to alter the html and CSS for layout and appearance. I didn’t use a theme in mocking up my website but built the html and CSS to give the appearance I wanted. Ideally I would like to be able to use the same page layout for the wiki but its not apparent from the documentation that this is possible.

    - Can wiki entries be tagged using either simpletags or solspace tag module? If so will a search for a tag reveal weblog entries and wiki entries?

    - Is the url methodology the same as the weblogs url methodology, using segments etc.

    - If the tinymce wysiwyg is in use on the weblogs is it immediately available on the wiki.  if not is the installation similar to the installation for weblogs by simply uploading files and installing an expansion module?

    - Using the built in search function will a search reveal entries from weblogs as well as entries from the wiki?

    - Can you share categories between a weblog and the wiki?

Regarding the above I did search through the documentation but either couldn’t find the answer or found that without having access to the wiki the description wasn’t much help.

    Thanks

    Hi, dorich,

    - Yes, you can modify the wiki template to match the rest of your site.

    - I do not believe either of the Tag modules support tagging in the wiki, though I may be incorrect. You might wish to ask the authors.  You can categorize wiki entries.

    - Yes, though the segments are quite different as they are wiki specific.

    - No, the TinyMCE extensions are for the control panel publish page.  You could include TinyMCE on the wiki page by modifying the theme for the wiki.

    - The search module searches only weblogs.  The wiki has its own search.

    - You can not share categories between a wiki and weblog programatically

Can you give any indication of how difficult this is on a scale of 1 to 10 for a person who knows something, not a lot, about html, CSS and EE tags.

    Thanks

I haven’t done this myself; I believe it would be a matter of adding the JS calls and modifying the textarea id or similar.  Just like adding the TinyMCE editor to a standard text area.

Again, I haven’t done this myself, so that may be oversimplified.
