I got a lot of really great feedback off the last townhall. I’ll be doing another this Friday, starting at 10PM EST. Watch my Twitter account for the URL around 9:30PM EST - I will try to remember to post the URL here.

Some people have talked about sending beer donations, appreciated but definitely not necessary. If you are interested, DM me on Twitter.

See you all there and if you are interested in being a featured guest, let me know! I love discussing PHP developers daily lives - what they do at work, since it varies between all of us.

    Hi Michael,

How can I send you a DM on Twitter cause you’re not in my followers so I can’t send a message telling you I want to follow the CI town Hall ????

It’s basically just a nerd video chat - I have a few topics I plan on discussing, most of it related to web development and/or gaming. Anyone is welcome to throw discussion topics out there or load up their webcam for a quick on the spot interview.

Last week, Justin Kendall gave us an overview of his day-to-day developer job, another guy showed off his Wiimote PC controller, I reviewed a preview of augustaschoice.com (now live), and Jonathon Snook answered by highly inebriated questions and took questions from the people in the chat.

All in all, just an excuse to gather everyone up, drink some brews, and nerd out.

Sounds good, but thinking about it if I am home/awake at 3am GMT then i’ll probably be in no fit state for intelligent conversation. :shut:

True, I was pretty hammered when I did my last two screencasts!

Uh… Phil, you didn’t watch the last screencast so I won’t fault you. I will be in no condition to speak to anyone much less host the damn thing.

It’s party of the shows appeal - who knows what is going to happen. I don’t remember anything after Snook lsat week and I guess we talked for a bit longer after that, if anyone remembers I would love to hear about it.

I may try and record this week’s - depends on tinychat’s featureset.

I just started working on a new project that will be CodeIgniter powered, don’t think it will take more more than 5 hours to hammer out the basic structure and get a good solid layer of code layed out. I might share 😊

Yeah, you totally got my name wrong, Justin is my brother. @jtkendall == Josh Kendall, I think that means I need to stop following you. 😊
