This question may be related to a resolved thread.

When trying to post a blog entry, I’m getting the following error

    MySQL ERROR:

    Error Number: 1054

Description: Unknown column ‘field_id_1’ in ‘field list’

    I’m using a new install of 1.6.7

    thanks,
    Ken

    Ken,

Have you any extensions or plugins running?
Are you using any custom queries in your templates?

Just to confirm, this is a new install and you haven’t upgraded from a previous version?

    John,

Have you any extensions or plugins running? no

I’m not sure of this - I’m developing a site off the Hands Raised template so it’s possible - what should I look for?

Yes this is a new install-

    thanks,
    Ken

field_id_1 is found in the exp_weblog_data table. Unless someone went in by hand and removed that column, it should be there.. Who did the install?

    Sue,

I did the install - could I just add the field_id_1 to the exp_weblog_data table manually?

    thanks

I wouldn’t recommend it; who knows what else might be amiss? Would a re-install be an option?

    Ken,

It might be the best option at this stage, yes.
Make sure to do a full back up beforehand. Even thought the database is corrupted it will still be a back up of any info you have in there.
