On your “EE Insider is (not) one of the 10 Largest EE Sites”  how about providing complete stats and how those sites handle traffic.  Another question for your digging pleasure, will those sites upgrade to 2.0 and do they have a battle plan in place to do it?  That information would be really useful and by the way you do have a useful site, thanks for providing it.

Who are you addressing this question to?  EE Insider is run by Ryan Irelan - not Ellislab.  It might be more prudent to comment on his post.  Also, the list in question was put together by Travis at Hop Studios.  And in any case, the details of how particular developers manage their servers and EE settings is not public knowledge.  Ryan wouldn’t have access to that information.

Now Arun don’t get your paints all in a wade lol.  I was just posting to the lounge, so who ever would like to chime in on the overall methods can do so or not.  You have a good day dancing little penguin.

No need to get snippy now…

Your post is addressed to one person (“your ‘EE insider”, “you do have a useful site”).  I was just trying to point you to the sources in case your intent was to ask the authors of the ‘10 largest…’ list.  If the question was for the community, that’s not how it comes off.

Anyway, there have been some blog posts by Derek Jones on handling traffic spikes.  You might want to check those out.

Now I know your not that sensitive especially to a strange and after all the post is just for fun and ideas, plus I understood what you were going at. You were trying to help or something, right and I just could not resist having a little fun with it.

...it does read as ‘hey you, owner of this site, give me stats’ rather than something for the rest of us.

You have a good day dancing little penguin.
