Has anyone ever tried Blogo.  My Mac is out of commission atm so I can’t test it.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

I’ve tried all three on EE. Blogo, MarsEdit, Ecto. Each seems to vary a bit in their approach, interface, handling text. It seems it is better to use one of those on a new site because there’s a tendency to warp text when editing a current entry (similar problems with TinyMCE and friends).

I end up going back to EE’s entry window and my customized version of EE’s HTML buttons. When offline I just use a text editor.

That said, I keep trying the newer versions of the standalone editors. I’m a glutton for punishment, I guess.

I have not tried Blogo. It looks (from the screenshots) that is is perfect for simple blog posting. I have blogs with custom fields and use Flickr for my images, so MarsEdit is the winner for me.

I’ll have to give these a try once I can.  I’m not really considering these for myself, but it might be a solution for the not-so-tech-savvy client with a simple blog.  They’re a dying breed though - at least with the types of sites we’ve come to get more and more of.
