    Hey EE forum
    I am working on a large client website and have a bug with a relation:

    When i try to display content from the relation it prints this:

    {REL[1567][kandidat]S47pC1DMREL}

    I use the same relation code in other places of the website whitout errors. The code is:

    {related_entries id="kandidat"}af {title}{/related_entries}

    I found this post: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/105813/P36/#533652 put ther are no codeblocks on my build (build 20090122).

    What can i do?

    Hi Niklas,

    Not sure if this is any help or not, but the codeblock in question looks like this:

    // Redundant and resulted in the related id not being cleared from var_single for the next loop - R.S.

                    //if (count($this->related_markers) > 0)
                    //{
                    //      foreach ($this->related_markers as $mkr)
                    //      {
                    //              if ( ! isset($vars['var_single'][$mkr]))
                    //              {
                    //                      $vars['var_single'][$mkr] = $mkr;
                    //              }
                    //      }
                    //}

    Done a wee bit checking around and it looks like it might be worth your while upgrading to the latest build (20090320) - it has fixed the relation bug.

    I’m going to shift to ‘Tech Support’ until we’ve definitely concluded it’s a bug, as I’m not replicating.

    Do make sure you’re running the latest build.  And then clear all caches via ‘Admin- Utilities’.  Then let us know if you’re running any extensions, as those could be in play (including ones that are part of modules).

    If none of that’s conclusive, can you post the code in the template that’s generating the error.  Reduce it as far as possible, and let’s see if we can replicate.

    You’re not by any chance using either the Playa or Multi Relation extensions are you?

    Niklas, let us know if you’re able to upgrade, and if you’re using either of the extension Mark mentioned.

    Is there anything special to downloading a latest build, or just go to the My Downloads area to do this?

    Yeah, I know, it’s probably a silly question…

    Nevermind, I am a doofus, it’s right in the docs. Never had to update a build before. 😉
