I was wondering that what are the “needed” meta data now-a-days? I’ve seen “audience” and “page-topic” etc. that are new to me. What are the most suitable meta infos that really are needed to make the meta-part most “SEO"ed?

    Cheers:

All meta tags I use are title, keywords and description. Ther rest is not much of a use as to SEO.
You can also read from google’s webmaster blog on meta tags and web search

Yep, I agree - all that Dublin Core meta stuff seems to be a massive waste of time. The only reason I’d ever use anything more than keywords and description is if I were using it for some kind of custom functionality.

I’ll third the opinions given above and give a plug to Leevi’s Better Meta module. It absolutely rocks and should be required for any site that cares about SEO (all sites then right?)
