I’ve played with jQuery UI in the past, and today they rolled out 1.7.

The site is getting so much traffic right now, I can’t get ThemeRoller working w/o major lag and timeouts.

I’ve been using Yahoo’s css reset and YUI grids for a while now and just switched to Blueprint. Wondering how this will all pan out using it together, or is the UI going to get into my way?

Anyways ... anyone using jQuery UI here? Your overall impressions? Granted it’s early to ask for this regarding 1.7.

my team and i have been playing with jquery ui for the past couple weeks and its really nice. very simple to do what you want and it beats loading different plugins for everything (well its kinda one big plugin) but its nice to use Google to host it because it takes the load off your servers and the user might already have it cached

i really like the tabs but i wish i could trigger them through a url. so if i send my user to

    mysite.com/about-us#team

it would open the team tab. to my knowledge there is not a built in way of doing this yet. please correct me if i am wrong. i know i can look for the anchor in the url and use it to set active with a bit of js but i wish it was built in :(

I wouldn’t use it for for Front End Development (at least not yet) but it works great for building Custom Admins.  I’ve been using for all my Admin projects.  Plus with the new Theme Roller it’s easy to find a color scheme that matches just about any site.

All the CSS & Images GUI are perfect for building Web Apps.

For as far as other CSS Template goes… my preferred CSS Library is 960 Grid System.
