SXSW 2009 is only a few short weeks away and we’re starting to get excited. We’re doing something very different this year, something we don’t think a company usually does. We’re going to do our best to meet as many people face-to-face as possible. We’re throwing a party, holding a Community World Domination Summit, sharing a nightcap with Solspace, and offering to take you on a date (really). None of our events this year require a SXSW badge. You can skip the blog post and get straight to the details at:

That’s a great idea. I hate to say it but you guys didn’t look 100% comfortable talking TO the audience rather with them.

“If there was a beach in Austin, we’d go for a walk.”

Well, we do have the beautiful hike-and-bike trail around Lady Bird Lake, which is about two blocks from the Convention Center. It seems like 25% of Austinites are there walking at any given time, and many a tech startup was hatched along the hike-and-bike trail. . . .

We’ve also got something better than a beach: Barton Springs Pool, the jewel of Austin. And you can walk there from the Convention Center on the hike-and-bike trail:

Sorry I can’t meet you guys this year—a friend’s wedding in New Orleans is interfering.

But anyone can ask about stuff to do in Austin next month during SXSW, and I’ll try and help.
