Hi,
is there any way to create a global variable that can be used in weblog entries?
Thanks,
David

Weblog entries aren’t parsed for EE tags. However, there is a plugin that allows EE tags in your weblog entries:

I have not used it before and have no idea if it’s a good idea to do what you say using this method. I think it depends on what kind of system your using for weblog editors and permissions as far as whether or not you want to open up all blog entries to parsing any EE code.

Works beautifully - thanks. That’s exactly what I was after.

Notes
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Allowing EE Code in entries or comments can present a LARGE SECURITY RISK. By using this plugin, ANYONE allowed to post entries or comments can submit ANY EE tag and it will be executed. Use this plugin only if you have very tight control over who can post data in the area where you are using it. Be Careful!!
