    Hello

I am trying to upload an image that’s 656KB to one of my gallery
When I press submit I get a white screen
But the image hasn’t been uploaded

    Any idea ?
Is this too big ? If so, how can we accomodate this sort of sizes ?
In any case, a proper error message would be welcome

    Thanks

What version and build of EE are you on? Secondly, how much memory does your PHP installation have? phpinfo() (via the control panel) would be able to tell you that. As to the white screen, this is most likely a suppressed PHP error. From a security point of view it actually makes sense not to show PHP error messages to everybody, so you need to turn that on specifically.

    1. ExpressionEngine 1.6.4 (not sure for the build)
    2. memory : 16M
    3. all error reporting was already on

CimexMedia, you are a few versions behind. I’d recommend upgrading to 1.6.7. However, that’s not going to fix your immediate problem.

16 meg of memory allocated to PHP can be not quite enough.

I’d recommend going up to 64 meg at least.

Thanks Sue, it looks like bumping it up to 64M did the trick !
