    Hey Folks -

We’re looking to schedule a Train-ee class in the Portland, OR area.  Any input for a cool venue?  We had settled on the Kennedy School but they can’t guarantee the reliability of the wi-fi during class.

    We’re looking for something:

    - With rooms to stay overnight in as well a classroom space
    - With classroom space for ~ 15 students
    - Fun, hip, different
    - with Windows (the glass kind) in the training room
    - Reasonably priced (~ $140/night)

    I appreciate any leads!

    Woot!

I wish I knew Portland a bit better, unfortunately I’m not the best adviser on this one.  I can’t wait, though!

Alright, I’ve been poking some of my local pals.  I got a response from one with a possibility:

Executive Suites. Jantzen Beach - possibly called Oxford Suites.  Link - lots of nearby activities too.

Here’s another, I like this one a lot:

    Aloft Portland Hotels.

    Thanks..checking them out.

At first glance the second link is much more what we’ve in mind - playful, hip, energetic.

I’ve not been to the Portland one, but the McMenamins in Bend is awesome. Supposedly one of the ones in Portland is built in an old school, so might be worth a look. I have no idea what the rates are like.

Hah - see above.  It’s the Kennedy school.  We love everything about it from its character to the rates, but they figure the wifi is just a “perk” that if it works, great but otherwise oh well…

    ETA 😉
