I hope everyone had a great holiday break. We got some much needed rest and are re-energized for 2009.

On January 1st Derek Jones flew into Bend Oregon for our yearly company review with Rick. It was a grand time but it also means we worked all weekend and came back to overflowing, post-holiday inboxes. They were subsequently conquered and we’re officially ready to get this new year under way.

    thanks for the update leslie.
I was curious about those siteKit’s at NetRaising, worth a further look, thanks for the nudge there…

Lastly, you forgot to add in your post Mr. Bowen’s Mac is in the shop.
I wonder if he was able to to read this latest blog post before his world went to black.
The ol’ Mac’ie maybe just needed some debugging, maybe?

eeSiteKit looks interesting - I’d like to hear from someone who has used it before trying it out myself.

Yeah it looks interesting but interesting is the article in one page too about EE2.0 and “installer”.
Sorry to be an a-hole but 2 sites that sell something what is connected to EE, may i ask why? I didnt find anything useful information about EllisLab services but i guess times are changing and blogging is not so close to EllisLab and its services anymore…

From my point of view i wish to read how EllisLab is doing, and how EE2.0 is doing. Have been hoping this for a year soon!

I know everyone here is nice people(huge thanks for all EE-Team members), and further, very helpfull for all EE-users that reads and uses EE. Thats the coolest thing i ever seen on the scene of commercial software scene!

Its nice to read something but lately i have been in lag of hope about EE2.0 and this year, is it coming - yes, it come when it comes, boring!

PS. dont take this wrong, EE is superb but the newsfeeding and blogging and sneak previews havent been the best way to say that something is under the work and it comes…when it comes.

Its compreensible…dont forget with we are waiting by consistent news/updates about 2.0 since March, 2008..

So, i think with now, today, the only thing with can surprise anyone its just see the EE 2.0 in your hands - and believe it - by the time bypassed, i think with many people dont will be surprised with the new resources/features (The “Longhorn” Effect).

I - by example - just will be impressed if i can freely move the position and resize (just with AJAX mouse movements) the custom fields in a “channel” page layout in CP. This will be, so far, the mosted coolest thing to help with a page with huge custom fields like i see a long time ago in a screenshot here, with more then 50 custom fields disposed vertically in the CP weblog page in a review of a EE site (and dont remember in this moment).

I say this because many cool things with i hear about EE 2.0 just exists in Wordpress 2.7 new panel now. The way of this software insert images, animations and videos directly from inbox (without plugins, hacks, etc..) its fantastic.

Of course with the templating system and flexibility of EE stills killer to a webdesigner/developer but the time bypassed faster in last times and many cool EE stuffs dont is a nice exclusive feature, anymore.

    Well, one more week…

I completely agree. We’ve been waiting to give it to deliver 2.0 to you as well. Believe me, we’re as eager as anybody else. Since September we’ve delivered updates every 2-3 weeks, including 3 updates in December and this month we’ve already promised at least two updates. That’s about as consistent as we can get with 2.0 updates for the time being.

Pull the film quote from that one

I am currently time-sharing a computer with my Wife so I can still see what everyone is saying 😉
