    I just started experimenting with EE and my question is do I need to use traditional PHP includes in my templates or some kind of template inludes with the EE special tags?

    I tried something like this:

    <?php include $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . "/snippets/includes/header.php"; ?>

    but it seems it’s not working.

    Any ideas?

    You’ll want to switch to embedded templates - the docs cover them pretty well.

    Thanks Boyink, I’ll check the docs then.
