We’re working on a site for a local coffee roaster and are in need of a customization quote to work with their shipping needs. Essentially, they have a coffee product that comes in 5 different shipping weights and sizes and need to have the shipping price alter depending on the customers selection of 1 of the 5 options.
Our theory is that we could either hard code this into the template for coffee only with a fixed cost (based on the farthest location they would ship to) and have that added to the final shipping cost or we would hire Exp-presso to do a modification to the “Shop”. I believe this could be done by integrating the Product Modifier Variation, which generates multiple SKU’s, to generate a shipping modifier based on the SKU.
I’d be interested in hearing if anyone else has encountered this issue with Esp:resso Shop and how they were able to resolve it or knows of a party that can assist us with the customization of Shop to make this happen.
