I’m using EE with multiple site manager and I have “site A” with “channel A” and in “site B” I have a template that read data from “channel A” that belongs to “site A” this template is showing data correctly if I don’t use search:field_name in channel:entries tag and if I use it is shows nothing however the same search value is showing right data if the template in “site A”
In a nutshell the search property is not working when the channels are used in other sites

Hi, Lyad -

Unfortunately search: does not work across MSM Sites - it works only in the currently called site.

This would make a good feature request; if you need this right now, you would need to use a custom query.

It is a disappointment! but as long as there is a work around using the Query module that will be fine
