As a member of the newly formed Translation Team, I set out to update an older EE site that I’m not using at the moment. It had version 1.6.2 installed.
When I try run the update script I get the following error message:
= = =
A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Notice
Message: unserialize() [function.unserialize]: Error at offset 113 of 3521 bytes
Filename: libraries/Installer_Config.php
Line Number: 169
= = =
And then:
= = =
The language files needed for your current language selection () are unavailable. Please put the language pack in this folder: expressionengine/languages/
= = =
The English language pack is already there, and I also put in the old 1.6.X Swedish language pack in the /system/expressionengine/language folder. To no avail.
The update process halted on this error. So I rolled back to 1.6.2, set the default language to English and ran the update script again. And now it played nicely through to the end.
