I created a new “text input” custom field, and selected “none” from the formatting options.
On rendering, the contents of the field is being wrapped in tags.
ExpressionEngine implements Markdown Extra and BBCode. Please see the Markdown Extra docs and the BBCode Wikipedia article for a full reference.
