Version: 4.3.3 Reporter: inconsiderate —
I’m getting this error when trying to upload images through the file manager anywhere in the control panel:
Thumbnail could not be created for the image. Please make sure the thumbnail directory is writable.
This is happening when running EE under MAMP on a Windows 10 machine.
Please see this previous bug report from 2013, as it is still the exact same problem. https://expressionengine.com/support/bugs/19394
I have temporarily fixed this problem by changing the paths to backslashes, but this is not something I should have to do. It took quite some time to track down why this bug was occurring.
ExpressionEngine implements Markdown Extra and BBCode. Please see the Markdown Extra docs and the BBCode Wikipedia article for a full reference.
