Ok, the data doesn’t go boom, it saves correctly, however, when reloading after saving the Grid fields are not populated at all. The display_field() method data is blank.
To recap: I created a Grid field, lets say its #1, then created a Fluid field, #2, then I assign the Grid field #1 to be used inside of the Fluid field #2, and assign that Fluid field to a channel and assign Grid field #1 to the same channel, thus two custom fields on the publish page, then it does not load the Grid data in either field when displaying the entry. It appears to save the data fine, just re-displaying it shows two completely blank Grid fields.
