Bug #23656 See Comments

EE update notice not working correctly

Version: 4.2.1 Reporter: fanderson

I manage multiple sites. One site which is running 4.2.1 says that it is up to date, while another site, which is running 4.3.1 also says it is up to date. I trust the latter more than the former. On the site running 4.2.1, the icon is green and even when I click on it, it says it is up to date. They both can’t be right.

  • Can you grab a fresh copy of your license and replace the current one on that site with the wrong version?

And we did just release 4.3.2, so I’d double check that’s showing correctly on the working site as well.

  • Hi Robin,

I added the current license from the website and it still displays EE 4.2.1 and says it is the current version.

  • OK- 1 last thing, let’s clear out the cache. So ftp in and go to system/user/cache/ and delete current_version and software_registration.

    Any change?

  • Can you drop a quick email to support@ellislab.com - if possible, I’d like to take a closer look.

We aren’t able to replicate, so hopefully that will shed some light on things.

  • Just to close the loop, it looks like there was an environmental issue and once the host updated the curl library that got it resolved.

    Thanks again for the access!
