Bug #23625 See Comments

Simple Search - strip_tags() PHP warning when searching channel with Expresso Store 4 field

Version: 4.2.1 Reporter: David Hyland

When setting up a simple search on a channel that has an Expresso Store 4 field the following PHP warning is issued for each result:

Severity: E_WARNING
strip_tags() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given
ee/EllisLab/Addons/search/mod.search.php, line 1395

The channel that throws this warning has the following fields: - Store - File - Text

All other channels (comprising of various different fields) return search results without the warning.

  • Sorry for your trouble, David. As you mentioned, it looks like this is a problem with an add-on. What would you like us to do to fix this?

  • Hi Kevin

Well I’m not certain what you can do. Is there anything you can do or will this be up the DevDemon guys to sort out?

  • I would say it’s up to DevDemon, their add-on data is some how returning an array instead of scalar value.
