This is actually an issue with the bug tracker site, rather than EE—but this seemed like the logical place to report it.
I just noticed that I can edit other people’s comments on threads that I started. I tested and confirmed that I can successfully edit/save the content, not just access the UI.
ExpressionEngine implements Markdown Extra and BBCode. Please see the Markdown Extra docs and the BBCode Wikipedia article for a full reference.
