Relationships can’t be parsed in Channel Form??

Version: 3.5.11 Reporter: directordash

This is an archived bug report. If you are experiencing a similar issue, upgrade to the latest release and if that does not solve the problem, submit a new bug report

Not a new thing; I’ve worked around the issue before, but this time I really need this to work within channel form.

Want to get back related entry data within a channel form – in the same way I would with a channel entries loop. All I need is the entry id of the related entry to pass into an embed paramter within the form (ordinarily I would have used an embed to print it in the first place!)

Can’t proceed on this project without this, so help would be appreciated!

  • It’s just not intended for the channel form to parse like a channel entry tag, so it’s working as intended. Posting to slack or the forum might get more eyeballs on the issue to brainstorm your options.

If it were me, I’d see about using the query module - pick the entry id out of the url, direct query to find any relationships- and then pass over as an embed. I’m thinking that’s doable.
