This goes back a few versions, we just got around to finally testing it with the launch of a new site. EE states “Action was a success” but it doesn’t actually ever seem to correctly find or update any content in text areas.
The main content search tool can correctly identify entries with content needing updating in these same grid fields, so we’re pretty confident this is a bug.
