Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre

The visual design was crafted knowing a mobile first approach would be paramount for the user with clearly defined navigation imperative.

Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre needed a new and improved website, with the main goal being to generate foot traffic whilst also finding a way to delight online, focusing on convenience. The user experience had to be forefront of mind, along with being innovative.

We began auditing the existing website quite comprehensively to understand the complete customer journey. We mapped out the strategy and content architecture using storyboarding and wireframes. The visual design was crafted knowing a mobile first approach would be paramount for the user with clearly defined navigation imperative. To have a positive mobile experience the user would need to be able to find the information they were looking for quickly.

We used the following standard ExpressionEngine Add-Ons:

Micello Map is our custom Add-On for the Interactive Centre Stores Map Movies is our custom Add-On for the Cinema Feed Website Personalisation is our custom Add-On for being able to personalise the content based on different times of day.

Personalised Content

We were able to deliver accurate real time information to the user by using personalised time of day content for the centre and store opening times. This allows the user to get the information they need, when they really needed it, also keeping the website engaging.

Cinema Information in Real Time

Using the Hoyts API (application programing interface) we fed real time movie information from the Hoyts Forest Hill Chase current screenings to the website. This allowed us to create a user-centric experience and achieve ultimate convenience.

Integrated Mapping System

Knowing visitors would want to plan ahead for their next trip to the centre we integrated accurate centre map data using the Micello API. This also gives the visitor the ability to identify the closest car park to the store they wish to visit at the centre.

Branded Social Feed

An Instagram feed was integrated using the Instagram API. The Instagram feed matches the centre’s branding and website. The integration of a custom social feed aggregator also shows a mixture of approved social content from multiple sources on the website.
