It will depend a bit- if you can get them into MT format, EE has a built in MT Importer. That’s what I generally prefer. And as long as the old site is in a db, you can generally output to MT format easily enough. See the wiki on importing. Another option that some folks favor is the CSVGrab plugin- which basically let’s you import from a CSV.
So- just depends a bit on how the data are currently stored. If it’s a db driven site, there should be a workaround. (And if we get into details, I may shift this over to ‘How to’- depending).

i am trying to use CSV Grab plugin to import the SQL, im just getting a blank page. i put the following code in a blank template: {exp:csvee url=”http://www.thamesgateway.gov.uk/NewsItems.csv” weblog=”5” title=”1” skip=”1” delimiter=”;” encloser=”” use=”2|3” fields=”prod_description|prod_keywords” }
i view the template and i get a blank screen- is this correct?
im not too sure if im using the plugin correctly?
