I want a comments page to show up.

What do I set Path Settings: “comments page URL” to ?

What do I name the template?

What do I use to link to it in the templates?

    Why is this so difficult?

    works: blah.com/comments/slug/

But I want to use “article” so I copied comments.php to article.php.
    - In the path settings I replaced comments with article
    - /article/slug/  doesn’t work
    - {template_group}/{template}/{slug}  doesn’t work

It just takes a bit to get the hang of EE urls and how they work with your templates.  Skimming the docs on it may help solidify things.

That said- if you already have it working using a template called ‘comments’ and you want to use ‘article’ in your urls instead, I’d create a new template called ‘article’ that’s a duplicate of comments.  Then when you use the exact same url that works when using comments- does it work if you switch out ‘article’ in place of ‘comments’?

If that’s all good- then paste your weblog tag where you’re generating the link and we can see which of the (many) options you’re currently using to create your links and tweak that.

If it doesn’t work- is it possible to link to a page in action?  That often helps clarify things for me.
