Well, version Linklist 1.2.1 is now in beta stages, but I do need some more beta testers.

If you’re interested in testing it out to be sure it actually works in your installation of EE, then please contact me, via PM or email or whatever, and I’ll get back to you!

I think it’s working fine, but I already know the intimacies of how it works, I need other people to test it’s mutant powers before I unleash it on the world. 😛

I am getting this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class snoopy in /home/andru/public_html/sistem/plugins/pi.magpie.php on line 1798

Using this code:

{exp:linklist:entries linklist="glm" status="open" limit="10"}
 <a href="http://{linklist:url}">{linklist:url_title}</a>

{/exp:linklist:entries}

Am I missing something? 😊

ack ok. it’s because paul and i both use snoopy in our mods at the same time. So if you have a page that uses the magpie plugin, it’ll interfere with the linklist module. :/

I’ll have to put a safety guard in so it doesn’t redeclare it. Hmm.

Ahhh - okay, I am using magpie to pull headlines from my other blogs.

Ok, this new fix should work.

You’ll want to re-download the ZIP file

let me know if this doesn’t fix it!

Another odd anomaly, though it could simply be me staring at code and getting confused…

This is what I use to display the LinkList in my left sidebar:

<div class="box">
<div class="sidebartitle">Links</div>
{exp:linklist:entries linklist="glmedia" orderby="url_title" sort="ASC" status="open"}
<a href="http://{linklist:url}">{linklist:url_title}</a>

{/exp:linklist:entries}
</div> <!--close box-->

For some reason, that works fine for my main homepage (gearlive.com) but not on any of my permalink pages. On a permalink, you just get a blank space…

try using dynamic=”off”, that should fix it.

Okay, another question -

I need one other person to be able to access the LinkLists. I gave them access to the Modules area, and to the LinkList module. They can get in, but they can’t see any of the lists I created. Is this how it is supposed to work, or is there a way for multiple users to share/update lists?

Right, that’s how it works right now. super admins do have access to any linklist. there is currently no sharing of linklists as of yet, that was never programmed in.

The idea of the linklist was to make members have their own linklists. i.e. member linklists. I haven’t yet gotten to the portion of the sharing aspect, as I haven’t made a member linklist interface yet outside the control panel.

That’s in the future right now.

Unfortunately, the only fix for it right now would be to make that user a super admin. :/ not exactly the best method, but currently the only way to do it without hacking the code.

Good to know - luckily, the guy I need to access these is someone I can trust as an Admin.

However, can you expand on the whole members having their own linklists concept? Why would I give regular members access to the linklists? 😊

BTW - Are you the Yoshi that is in Olympia, WA?
