Under the member settings, there is a section about Current Subscriptions. I tried to find out more about it in the doc, but I couldn’t find much. Could someone point me to the right location in the documentation?

The forum module (free in the add-on store) allows subscriptions and you can subscribe to comments too, which is likely more in play now- but yes, both forums and comments. https://docs.expressionengine.com/latest/comment/subscriptions.html
