Is there an easy way to view the CP through a certain role without having to create a user with that role and log in with it?

As I mentioned in Slack, not that I know of…but what I generally do is create the role, and a user, and login with that user in a Private Browsing window. Then, I can work on the control panel and refresh that user to see what I need to see. You can then reuse that user across other groups as needed.

EE has a “login as this user feature” but it’s per user. We’re working on upgrading a client site now to a better RBAC implementation, using a combination of Member Group and Roles, which is proving very powerful.
