MSM site, how to share partials across sites?

How Do I?

Looking for advice, we’re building a MSM with 4 separate domains/sites, eventually it’ll be 4 different sites running of of one EE instance. So far so good without any hassle.

We’ve added a lot of partials and some variables that we want to use on all of these domains, but I believe this is impossible according to the docs, is my assumption (docs) correct or am i not using the correct syntax? I’ve tried embedding it.

I’m afraid we have to go a different route with these components / partials.. but i would like to steer away from using to many embeds as this could have performance implications when using to many.

What would be a good way to implement this partials/component library into EE? So we could re-use these components through all these domains? Should I go the template layout and embed route? Or maybe create a template.group just for these components?

Thanks in advance

If you go to cp/design/snippets/edit/ENTRY_ID you should see “Enable on all sites?” on the bottom of your screen
