Notification email when new entry posted
How Do I?
What is the best way to send an email notification to an address (admin in this case) when a new entry is posted to a channel? I’m using Solspace calendar for EE 7, and using the exp:channel:form tag for front-end guests to submit new entries. I’d like to know when a new entry is submitted, but there’s no way out of the box to get notifications. It seems the channel settings only allows email notifications when comments are made.
Do I need some type of add on for this? I did look at MX email from Template but that is only up to EE 6.
Any help appreciated.
You might checkout Mail After Edit. We built it to do exactly this, and has some logic checks around it if you need it!
That looks like exactly what I need. Will it work with native PHP mail set?
It will! Works with any native EE functionality.
I’ve tried many different settings and configurations. Initially after trying with PHP *8 running, was getting deprecation errors. Then downgraded to PHP 7 and got errors about property ‘group_name’ of non-object.
Not to mention, i do have my domain attached to the add-on, but i keep getting the ‘unlicensed add-on’ alert badge.
Any ideas on what the issue is?
