Hello,

I am currently migrating my Expression Engine website onto my cPanel server and I am getting Http 500 error I know this could be for a number of reasons.

Would anyone be able to assist me with taking a look at my file structure and seeing if I have correctly moved all files.

Also the .htaccess file has a ‘Deny From All’ statement in it.

I have changed the config file to the relevant and updated database credentials also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as on tight deadline.

Are you able to share your .htaccess contents in the forum? You can redact details if needed.

Sometimes php_values in the .htaccess make a site bomb in Plesk (which is developed by the same company as cPanel). So I routinely have to remove php_values from htaccess on Plesk.

.htaccess misconfiguration will absolutely trigger an 500 error, I would check this as the first thing. Also, what does the error logs on your side tell you?

Post them here and we can tell you where to look to find the issue. Your cPanel should be logging the server errors in case of .htaccess or if its EE (PHP) you will also see them as PHP error logs.
