Whenever I go to the login URL for a site, I get the home page instead of the login page.

This only happens on local (production is fine). I’m running EE 6.2.7 on PHP 8.1 (Laravel Valet).

Any troubleshooting tips to get this working again?

Few questions:

  • Are they both running NGINX?
  • Locally you can check NGINX logs and see if there’s anything strange there ( https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54432059/laravel-valet-logs )
  • Try incognito or a different browser just in case there’s some weird cache thing happening
  • Do you happen to have an index.html file in your root that might be redirecting? sometimes NGINX can be configured to try and load index.html before index.php

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

Hey Andy, thanks for the reply!

  • Nope, just local is running NGINX. Production is running Apache and working fine.
  • Checked the log and nothing related to this particular site in there.
  • Deleted history and cache in Chrome, restarted it, and opened an incognito window; CP page still shows home page.
  • Nope, no index.html file in root.

:(

Figured out the issue - I had a renamed admin.php file. I added a new admin.php file and it works.
